Grants of up to £5,000 from the South Sharpley Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund, managed by Point North, for community groups, voluntary organisations and environmental projects in and around the wind farm near Seaham. Eligible areas are Dalton-le-Dale, Easington Lane, Hetton-le-Hole, Houghton-le-Spring, Murton, Silksworth, Seaham Grange and Seaton. Registered charities and CIOs, constituted community groups, registered social enterprises, schools and town and parish councils can apply. Capital items and equipment (not vehicles), coaching and training, project and sessional costs, capacity building and core costs for groups spending under £100,000 a year can all be funded. Decisions take about 12 weeks. Applications close on 30 October 2026.
