Travel Award for Bands

Travel Awards of £500 to £5,000 support eligible Northern Ireland bands performing or showcasing outside Northern Ireland. The Arts Council says the scheme currently has no remaining budget: applications are still accepted, but decisions may be deferred until funding becomes available. Apply at least four weeks before travel and do not assume an award will be made. Formally constituted bands based in Northern Ireland: accordion orchestras or bands, brass, concert, flute, pipe and wind bands. Individuals, other band types and organisations breaching an earlier Arts Council award are excluded. Bands must have existed for at least two years and have an invitation to perform or showcase. Travel must depart from Northern Ireland, occur within 18 months of application and not have been booked before submission. Accommodation, subsistence, insurance and travel within Northern Ireland are excluded. Only one unfinished Travel Award may be held at a time. Read the budget warning and guidance, confirm the position with the Arts Council and submit through the portal at least four weeks before travel. An accepted application does not guarantee funding.
