The Tree Health Pilot helps tree owners and managers in England deal with pests and diseases affecting their trees. You can get between £500 and £500,000 to fund tree health measures. The money can pay for felling diseased trees, buying new trees to replant, maintaining newly planted trees, and biosecurity items. It also covers infrastructure improvements needed for tree health work. This pilot scheme builds on existing Countryside Stewardship support. It covers trees in woodlands and trees outside woodlands. The Tree Health Pilot (THP) scheme is testing different ways of slowing the spread of pests and diseases affecting trees in England. It expands on support available through the Countryside Stewardship Woodland Tree Health grant. The THP supports owners and managers of trees in woodland or trees outside woodland to deal with tree health issues.
