Full details from Wealden District Council
Each Wealden District councillor has £10,000 in 2026/27 to fund locally focused community projects that improve outcomes for residents of their ward and support the Council Strategy. Small non-profit community and voluntary organisations can apply for £250 to £5,000, with one successful application per organisation (joint bids across councillors still total no more than £5,000). Projects must be in, or clearly benefit, the ward and be completed within 12 months. It cannot fund retrospective or regular core costs, political activity, alcohol, or items gifted to individuals, and public bodies, parish councils and schools are not eligible (independent PTAs and village hall committees may be). The scheme opened on 1 May 2026 and closes on 28 February 2027; many councillors decide first come, first served.
Read the scheme guidance and terms on Wealden District Council's page, talk to your ward councillor about your project, then complete the online application form, which goes to the councillor. Finance checks follow and payment is normally within four weeks. Queries to councillorwardbudgets@wealden.gov.uk.
