Full details from Barking and Dagenham Giving
The Nourish and Thrive Fund was designed by Barking and Dagenham residents, who also decide which projects are funded. It supports organisations helping residents build healthier lives through food, by building the knowledge, skills and confidence to use healthy food and supporting lasting changes in habits. Smaller grants of £6,583 fund projects of up to 12 months, new or existing. Larger grants of £18,000 are for established work only, either running costs for organisations whose core purpose is healthier lives through food, or a project running for at least a year. Organisations can apply for both but receive only one. Applicants need an annual turnover of £300,000 or less, and projects must clearly serve borough residents. Applications close at 10am on Monday 2 November 2026.
Read the fund details on the Barking and Dagenham Giving page and apply online by 10am on 2 November 2026. You can apply for both grant sizes but can only be awarded one. Make sure food hygiene certification is in place if you prepare food.
