Grants for work that prevents people entering the criminal justice system and supports people in contact with it to rebuild their lives, for one to three years, through a two-stage process. Amount: £15,000 to £25,000 a year. Next submission deadline 5 February 2027; later deadlines 28 May and 24 September 2027. Who can apply: UK registered charities with annual income between £350,000 and £4 million. Large charities with endowments, grant-making charities or big reserves are unlikely to be funded. How to apply: Take the eligibility quiz, then email a proposal of no more than four A4 pages to grants@charleshaywardfoundation.org.uk by a submission deadline. Shortlisted charities go to Stage 2.
