Full details from Coventry City Council
Coventry City Council's Healthy Communities Grant helps voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations pilot health and wellbeing projects for adults, with a focus on prevention and cardiovascular health. It funds activities such as exercise, swimming, dance and yoga sessions, healthy eating workshops, blood pressure checks and condition support groups, delivered with GPs, social prescribers or other health professionals. Most grants are £200 to £5,000, and microgrants to test an idea are welcome. Projects must start within three months and spend the grant within 12 months. It cannot fund projects for young people, uniformed groups, statutory bodies or businesses.
Email HealthyCommunities@coventry.gov.uk to discuss your idea with Public Health and get the application form. Send the completed form with a recent bank statement and the required documents; applications are assessed in about four weeks.
