Full details from Highlands and Islands Climate Hub
The Highlands and Islands Climate Hub's Breaking Barriers Fund is a 2026 to 2027 pilot for member groups whose climate action project has hit an unexpected financial challenge that means it cannot continue. It mainly covers legal or regulatory costs, such as planning or licensing fees, where no other funds can be found, or professional advice to decide whether a climate project should go ahead. Awards are expected to be no more than £1,000. Applicants must show their reserves, reserves policy and why reserves cannot be used. It does not cover staffing, training or HR costs.
Join the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub if you are not a member, then complete the application form on the Breaking Barriers Fund page with evidence of your reserves.
