Huntingdonshire District Council's Community Chest supports community groups and organisations whose projects help deliver its Corporate Plan priorities: quality of life and wellbeing (especially physical activity and social connection), keeping people out of crisis, helping people in crisis and lowering carbon emissions. The maximum is £800 for community spaces, £1,000 or 20% of costs (whichever is lower) for community events, and £2,500 for longer-term projects. A panel meets monthly and there is no closing date until the fund is spent. Free activities and those that support volunteering are prioritised, and successful projects report their social value.
