Overview

The Jobs Guarantee provides fully funded six-month paid jobs for young people aged 18-24. You must have been on Universal Credit and looking for work for 18 months. The scheme helps young people gain skills and work experience. It aims to improve their chances of getting long-term employment. The Department for Work and Pensions is looking for organisations to deliver this scheme. You need relevant experience in supporting young people into work. The contract runs for 2 years from November 2026. Funding ranges from £2.4 million to £11.1 million per delivery area.

Who is this for?

This is for organisations with experience in employment support and training. You need to be able to source jobs, match young people to roles, and provide wraparound support. It is not for individual young people looking for jobs - they will be supported by the successful delivery partners.

The Jobs Guarantee will provide a fully funded six-month paid job to eligible 18–24-year-olds who have been on Universal Credit and looking for work for 18 months. The scheme is intended to provide long term unemployed young people with meaningful work and support to gain skills and experience through work, to improve their chances of moving into sustained employment after the scheme. The Jobs Guarantee will be delivered through Delivery Partners who will source and match young people to jobs and provide wraparound support and training. We are seeking bids from organisations with relevant experience to deliver the scheme for 2 years from November 2026, in up to four of the 25 Delivery Areas across Great Britain.
