Overview

Grants to individuals and organisations for initiatives that reduce poverty, improve health, tackle social inequality, and help people reach their potential, or for projects that nurture a sense of place or promote climate action in the former local authority areas of Allerdale, Carlisle, Eden, and South Lakeland. Donor Private individuals Who can apply? • charitable, not-for-profit organisations • individuals under the age of 30 Priority will be given to projects that: • help carers of people with dementia • support young people to fulfil their potential Examples of projects supported: • music therapy sessions for disabled children • training materials for students to increase their skills base and employability • ‘time-out’ trip for carers of those with mental health issues • contribution to living costs for a student studying for a MMus (conducting) degree How much can you apply for? Grants will normally be up to £3,000 over one year. Household income will be considered in the assessment of an application for an individual.
