Lichfield District Council's community event grant offers up to £3,000 per application for community-led events in Lichfield District that bring people together, promote inclusion and wellbeing, celebrate cultural diversity and encourage participation across ages and backgrounds. It can fund festivals, fairs, cultural celebrations, workshops, sports and wellbeing events, including venue hire, equipment, marketing and facilitation. It cannot fund core running costs or events that duplicate existing provision. The annual budget is £10,000, one application per group each financial year, awarded first come, first served until the budget runs out; the next budget starts in April.
Download the grant overview and application form from Lichfield District Council's community event grant page and email the completed form, with your constitution, a recent bank statement and public liability insurance, to events@lichfielddc.gov.uk. The events team scores applications and a senior director and cabinet member approve them. A short post-event report is required.
