North Hertfordshire Council offers small grants of £500 to £1,500 to independent and not-for-profit organisations for projects that benefit communities across the district, such as improving local spaces, running events or supporting vulnerable groups. Grants are allocated through five area Community Forums (Baldock and villages, Hitchin, Letchworth, Royston and Southern Rural), each with its own budget and application deadlines through the year; the next deadlines fall in early to late January 2027. Applications are made online through a MyAccount and must be in by midnight on the closing date.
Check the Community Grants Criteria Policy, create a MyAccount and complete the online application on the North Herts community grants page, uploading accounts, governing document, safeguarding policy and two quotes for purchases over £100. Email community@north-herts.gov.uk for help.
