Full details from The Pilgrim Trust
The Pilgrim Trust funds the conservation of culturally and historically significant collections and objects across the UK, including works of art, books, ephemera, artefacts and archives. Grants are generally £1,000 to £30,000 (average about £15,000) for project and staff costs, fees, paid internships, initial exploratory work and conservation costs. Small and medium museums and manuscript projects should first check the schemes the trust funds through the Association of Independent Museums and the National Manuscripts Conservation Trust; only organisations not eligible for those should apply here. Applications are rolling, with requests of £5,000 or less decided in about four weeks and larger ones at quarterly board meetings.
Take the eligibility quiz on the Pilgrim Trust website, then apply through Flexigrant. Bids over £5,000 go to quarterly stage two cut-offs.
