Full details from The Pilgrim Trust
The Pilgrim Trust helps fund the preservation and repair of listed historic buildings, structures and architectural features across the UK, with special consideration for projects finding sustainable conservation and re-use solutions, especially for buildings at risk or of outstanding importance (including redundant places of worship). Grants are generally £1,000 to £30,000 (average about £15,000), covering project and staff costs, fees, internships, initial exploratory work and capital costs. General refurbishment, acquisition, new services or facilities, furniture, options appraisals and feasibility studies are not funded. You can apply at any time: requests of £5,000 or less are decided between meetings within about four weeks, and larger stage two applications go to quarterly board meetings, with 2027 cut-off dates starting on 8 January.
Take the eligibility quiz on the Pilgrim Trust website, then apply through Flexigrant. Stage one is rolling; stage two bids over £5,000 meet quarterly cut-offs (8 January 2027 is the next).
