Point North Care Leavers Fund (Individuals)

Grants of up to £1,000 from Point North's Care Leavers Fund for care leavers aged 18 to 25 in County Durham and the Tees Valley, for essentials and practical support they would not otherwise be able to get. Applications must be made by a referrer such as a careers adviser, social worker or a support worker from a charity, housing association or public body. Help with moving into a new home, laptops and furniture, health and welfare support in urgent need, driving lessons, interview clothes, mentoring, and education or training costs such as books and IT equipment can all be funded. Statutory costs and past activities cannot. There is no fixed deadline, so you can apply at any time while funds last.
