Full details from CVSC (RWE Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm)
Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm, operated by RWE Renewables UK, funds community projects along parts of the North Wales coast. The Conwy fund, launched in 2009 with a base of £75,000 a year and index linked, is administered by Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) and supports communities from Mochdre in the west to Kinmel Bay in the east. It is open for grants from £2,000 up to £10,000 for capital or revenue projects that deliver at least one of four themes: strengthening your community for the future; involving your community and building community spirit; improving the lives of local people; and creating more viable local facilities. All applications should also show value for money. A panel of community representatives assesses applications.
