Overview
The Strengthening Worcestershire Fund gives grants of £2,000 to £5,000 to local groups helping people with the cost of living. Strong or innovative projects with wider impact can ask for up to £7,500. Projects can tackle poverty and hardship, build community resilience, or improve health and independence. Food banks, energy advice, uniform banks, debt advice and information events are all examples. If you were funded by this programme in 2025, you cannot apply this time. Grants of £2,000 to £5,000, or up to £7,500 for strong or innovative projects with wider impact, for charities, CICs, community groups and social enterprises supporting Worcestershire communities still feeling the effects of the cost of living. The round is match funded with Worcestershire County Council, with up to £115,000 to share across the county, and applications from the most deprived areas are particularly welcome. Projects can cover reducing poverty and financial hardship, building individual and community resilience, or improving health, wellbeing and independence, for any age group. Organisations funded by this programme in 2025 cannot apply, though 2024 grantees may. Round 3 opened on 1 October 2026 and closes on 29 October 2026.
