Overview
The SWEF Fund helps young people in Cambridgeshire with the costs of a new business. There is a start-up grant of up to £500 and a business grant of up to £2,000, and neither has to be paid back. You need to be 18 to 30, live in Cambridgeshire, and have a business that has traded for less than two and a half years. You'll need to show you have already put time and effort into getting it going. The fund is rolling, so you can apply at any time. Official source: https://www.cambscf.org.uk/funds/swef/. Full details from Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (SWEF)
Grants for young people aged 18 to 30 in Cambridgeshire who are working on their own business and cannot afford key costs, particularly those not in education, employment or training. A start-up grant of up to £500 suits businesses trading for a short time with income under £500 a month, or about to start. A business grant of up to £2,000 suits businesses trading for six months or more with income of £500 a month or more. Your business must have traded for under two and a half years, and you need a business bank account. Applications based only on an idea are not considered: you need to show you have already taken steps. The fund is rolling, with no deadline, and the grant does not have to be repaid.
