Eligible spend introduces new digital capabilities: building an e-commerce website, developing an app, buying software, IT and digital hardware, improving IT infrastructure and digital skills for staff. VAT is excluded from the grant. Businesses awarded this grant in the last 12 months should not apply, and an awarded business cannot reapply for 18 months. Budgets are limited and awards are discretionary, based on likely economic impact.
