Full details from GrantScape (funded by Ørsted)

The Gunfleet Sands Fisheries Fund, from Ørsted's Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm and run by GrantScape, supports the fishing industry between Walton-on-the-Naze and the port of Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex. It can pay for things like fishing port infrastructure, training, safety improvements and necessary equipment. Grants are up to £10,000, and about £60,900 is available in the current round. Grants cover the net cost only: applicants pay any VAT themselves. Match funding is not needed. Fishers can get one grant a year, and first-time applicants may get priority. It cannot fund fishers based or operating outside the funding zone, salaries or running costs such as diesel and mooring fees, or retrospective costs. Purchases must be completed within three months of an award. The next round closes at midnight on 17 February 2027, with decisions by mid-April 2027.
