Full details from Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland

COLLABORATE offers one or two-year grants of up to £20,000 to two or more charities in Northern Ireland coming together to tackle a social issue at a local level. Each charity must have an income of £500,000 or less. Charities must support people in greatest need, such as people living in poverty, unemployed people, and people with disabilities or mental ill health. NICVA provides one-to-one collaboration training for applicants after a pre-application meeting. The programme is rolling and will close when the budget is reached, funding about five to ten collaborations; it was oversubscribed in 2025, and the foundation is running a waiting list alongside applications, so book your pre-application meeting early.

How to apply

Email grants@halifaxfoundationni.org to arrange a pre-application meeting as early as possible, then complete the online application. Training from NICVA is offered after the meeting.
