Full details from Karbon Homes (Karbon Foundation)

Karbon Homes, a housing association with around 35,000 homes in North East England and Yorkshire, gives community investment grants through the Karbon Foundation for projects that make a real difference to people's lives and wellbeing in the communities where it works. Its themes are the cost of living (hardship support, food poverty and holiday hunger, digital poverty, helping customers keep their tenancies), bringing people together (tackling isolation, connecting people to support and jobs), health and wellbeing (health inequalities, physical activity, mental wellness, support for victims of domestic abuse) and improving places (belonging, training and upskilling groups, diversionary activity, better estate environments). The maximum award is £4,000 a year for projects of up to two years. Requests of £1,500 or less are assessed by the community investment team; larger ones go to a residents' grants panel. The application form is open, with no closing date given.

How to apply

Read the funding themes and the list of grant questions on Karbon Homes' Community Funding page, then complete the online Community Funding Form (you can save and return, and upload documents). Have your Charity Commission or Companies House number, public liability insurance and constitution ready. You will hear within about four weeks. Karbon's Community Connectors can help with an application.
