Full details from Northern Powergrid Foundation

The Northern Powergrid Foundation's Warm Spaces Support Fund is a pilot small grants programme under its Overcoming Barriers priority. It offers flexible grants of £250 to £1,000 to small organisations to maintain, enhance or expand an existing warm hub or warm space, for example equipment and furnishings, kitchen or refreshment supplies, activity materials, volunteer expenses, marketing or minor improvements. Any single item over £300 needs a quote or website link. The fund opened on 9 September 2026 and considers applications on a rolling basis with no fixed closing date, but as a pilot it is limited to 60 applications and may close without notice once that limit is reached or the money runs out. Trustees may prioritise lower-income organisations and those running sessions more often.

How to apply

Log in or create an account on the Northern Powergrid Foundation applicant portal (Grant Interface) and apply for the Warm Spaces Support Fund. Applications are considered on a rolling basis until 60 have been received or the funding is allocated; successful applicants sign an offer letter before payment.
