Veterans' Foundation Salary Grants

Overview

The Veterans' Foundation Salary Grants help organisations pay for staff who support the Armed Forces community. That community includes serving and former members of the Armed Forces, operational qualified seafarers and their immediate families. You can apply for up to £25,000 per year for up to three years. The most you can receive in total is £75,000. The page does not give a minimum award for this programme. There is no closing date. The Foundation is running a rolling approach for Salary Grants on a trial basis, so you can apply without watching for a deadline. Decisions are expected in 12-16 weeks. The Foundation says it will make every effort to meet that timeline, though a short delay is possible while it tests and refines the approach. When assessing your application, the Foundation will look at the project or items to be funded, the number of beneficiaries, the need and impact for the Armed Forces community, and your organisation's governance and financial need. One practical point to plan around: if you already hold a grant from the Foundation, you can only submit a new application six months after the date of that award. If an application is unsuccessful, you can reapply three months after you are notified of the decision.
