Overview

Veterans' Foundation Standard Grants give organisations between £5,001 and £30,000 to support serving and former members of the Armed Forces community, operational qualified seafarers and their immediate families. The Foundation looks at the project or items you want funded, how many people will benefit, and the need and impact of the grant for the Armed Forces community. It also considers your organisation's governance and financial need. There is no closing date. The Foundation is running a rolling approach for Standard Grants on a trial basis, which removes the pressure of application deadlines. You can apply when you are ready. Decisions are expected in 12 to 16 weeks. The Foundation says it will make every effort to meet that timeline, though a short delay is possible while it tests and refines the approach. You start by choosing the Standard Grant programme and completing an online eligibility checker. If you are eligible, the online portal points you to the right form. Read the Standard and Salary Grant guidance and the What We Will Not Fund document before you apply. One practical caveat is the limit on repeat applications. If you already hold a grant, you can only apply again six months after the award date. If your application is unsuccessful, you can reapply three months after you are told the decision.
