Full details from Shetland Community Benefit Fund (Viking Community Fund)

Tier 3 of the Viking Community Fund's Community Grant Scheme, run by Shetland Community Benefit Fund (SCBF), supports Shetland-wide projects, or projects covering more than three community council areas, with grants of £200 to £15,000. It has £210,000 a year, with about £70,000 available in each of three rounds. Grants can support community-focused or charitable activities that sustain and develop local communities, show community involvement, represent value for money and are financially viable, such as equipment, consultations, and maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities. General running costs are not funded. SCBF staff appraise applications and an SCBF panel decides. Groups can apply once a year. The next deadline is 31 January 2027 (panel mid-March), then 31 May and 30 September.
