MOPAC Victims Small Grants Fund 2027 - 2029

London Community Foundation

£20,000 - £200,000London

The MOPAC Victims Small Grants Fund is open for applications through the London Community Foundation. It supports smaller, community-based and specialist organisations that help victims of crime across London. It suits organisations that are embedded in the communities they serve, including groups led by and for people who share a lived experience or identity. It also welcomes specialist organisations that are not led by people with lived experience but have strong community links, relevant expertise and a proven track record. The fund specifically, but not exclusively, wants to extend support for Black and minoritised communities, disabled people, LGBTQI+ people, people with insecure or unknown immigration status, male victim-survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, children and young people, faith-based communities, people who have experienced hate crime, bereaved families, people involved in prostitution and older people. You can apply for a two-year grant of between £20,000 and £200,000, which works out at £10,000 to £100,000 per year. A total of £2,000,000 is available. Funded activity can start from the week beginning 1 February 2027 and must finish by 31 January 2029. Applications close at 2pm on 2 November 2026. You will need to pass a short online eligibility check before you can reach the full application form. One practical point: there is no income threshold, but organisations with an annual income of less than £500,000 will be prioritised. Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in Schools Grant Scheme

Department for Education (DfE)

£10,000 - £1mEngland, North East England, North West England, South East England, South West England

The Department for Education (DfE) is offering grant funding to reduce surface water flood risk at schools in England by installing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). At its discretion, and where the scheme criteria allow, DfE can fund up to 50% of the total SuDS project costs. You match fund the rest. The grant pays for both the design and the installation of SuDS features on school sites. Projects can be small, such as downpipe planters, or larger schemes with rain gardens, bioretention tree pits, swales and detention basins. You can apply for a stand-alone SuDS project or as part of wider works, but DfE will only contribute to the SuDS part. It suits lead local flood authorities, water companies, non-profit organisations, and state-funded and voluntary aided schools in England. Individual schools thinking of bidding alone are encouraged to talk to their lead local flood authority, local water company or a non-profit organisation about joining a larger bid, because the technical and reporting requirements can be complex. Applications are open now and close at 5:00pm on 2 November 2026. The page gives an estimated total pot of £5 million, which may change with budget. Applicants will hear the outcome by 31 March 2027 at the latest. One practical point to plan for: the grant is paid in arrears only, after work is completed against set milestones. You will need to cover costs up front. Scoring above the 20% minimum threshold does not guarantee funding. Increasing opportunities for children and young people (CYP) to engage in sport, movement and performing arts in Newcastle

Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland

Up to £10,000North East England

This fund aims to increase opportunities for children and young people to take part in sport, movement and performing arts in Newcastle. It is listed on the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland site as the Wembley Stadium Foundation Communities Fund. It is an organisation grant, so it suits groups working in Newcastle that want to open up more sport, movement or performing arts activity for children and young people. You can apply for up to £10,000. The fund is open for applications now and closes on 2 November 2026. Note that some other funds on the same page close earlier, on 19 October 2026, so make sure you are looking at the right closing date for this one. If you have not applied to the Community Foundation before, you will need an account on its grantee portal first. It is worth registering early so that nothing slows you down close to the closing date. The funder also has a page for new applicants where you can check that you and your activity meet its eligibility criteria, plus FAQs and a Help and Support page if you need extra help to apply. The listing on the page is brief, so read the full fund details through the "Read more" link before you start your application. If this fund is not the right fit, the Community Foundation says organisations in Tyne and Wear or Northumberland can make a general application at any time of year. Communities Building Economic Change

City Bridge Foundation

£150,000 - £450,000London

Communities Building Economic Change is a City Bridge Foundation programme offering core and flexible five-year grants. It is for small and medium-sized organisations that are rooted in their communities and tackle economic injustice in London. It sits within the foundation's Economic Justice programme. You can apply for between £150,000 and £450,000 over five years. The funding is core and flexible, so it is designed to support your organisation rather than a narrow project. It is aimed at organisations with an annual income of £50,000 to £1.5 million. The fund suits organisations in Greater London that are rooted in communities experiencing economic injustice. You should provide frontline support services and understand the economic system as the cause of the challenges your communities face. You also need a track record of working towards longer-term change in one of the funder's three funding priorities. Applications are open now and close at 12 noon on Tuesday 3 November 2026. That is a midday cut-off, not the end of the day, so plan your time with care. One practical point: the income range is part of the criteria. Make sure your annual income sits between £50,000 and £1.5 million before you start preparing an application. Official source: https://www.citybridgefoundation.org.uk/funding/. National Churches Trust - Large Grants

National Churches Trust

Up to £50,000National (UK-wide)

The National Churches Trust Large Grants programme can give your church, chapel, meeting house or cathedral up to £50,000. It is open for new stage one applications, and the next deadline is 3 November 2026. You can apply for one of two kinds of project. The first is major urgent and structural repairs costing over £80,000, such as a leaking roof, cracked masonry, rotting timbers or a crumbling tower. The second is installing or upgrading a kitchen and/or accessible toilet costing over £30,000. The trust is a late-stage funder. You need to have at least 50% of the cost of this phase of your project already raised. Your project must still be in its planning stages, be deliverable within two years and not yet have started. Permissions must be in place, and the work must be led by a professionally qualified architect or chartered building surveyor. Competition is strong. The average grant is currently about £21,000, and only around one in four applications is successful. There are two stages. Stage one is a simple form that checks your project meets the eligibility criteria. If you pass, you are invited to complete a more detailed form. An officer assesses it, then an independent Grants Committee reviews it. You may also be considered for funds the trust distributes for other funders, such as the Wolfson Foundation and the Headley Trust, by marking your interest on the form. If you are applying for repairs to a church in Northern Ireland, the deadline is extended to 13 December 2026. Official source: https://www.nationalchurchestrust.org/get-support/grants/large-grants. Future Leaders Fellowships: Round 11, business and non-academic

Innovate UK Business Connect

£100,000 - £3mNational (UK-wide), England

Future Leaders Fellowships Round 11 backs talented individuals with the potential to become future leaders in research and innovation. This strand is for fellows hosted by business and non-academic organisations. It is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and run by Innovate UK. Up to £110 million is available across the round, and a proportion of that supports this strand, subject to enough high quality applications being received. You can request a grant of between £100,000 and £3 million. Up to 70% of costs can be covered, depending on project type and business size. Projects last four years, with an option to extend for a further three years, and must not start before October 2027. Fellows also get access to tailored opportunities to build their leadership skills. Proposals are welcome from all areas of research and innovation. That includes arts, humanities and social sciences, the five critical technologies in the UK's Science and Technology Framework, and multidisciplinary work. Your project must go beyond business as usual and show clear novelty. It needs a clear leadership development plan and explicit host commitments, such as protected time, access to facilities and senior mentorship. You do not need a PhD, and researchers from outside the UK can apply with an eligible UK host. Applications close at 11:00am on 4 November 2026. Competition is tough. Innovate UK says experience from similar competitions suggests a 13% chance of success. If your total project cost is likely to exceed £1.4 million, you should email the fellowship team before applying. Family Focus programme

Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust

£100,000 - £200,000National (UK-wide)

The Family Focus programme from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust funds projects that help armed forces families with care needs. The aim is to help families access support, improve wellbeing and resilience, and prepare for the future, whether during service or in transition and civilian life. You can apply for between £100,000 and £200,000 towards a project lasting two to three years. Your project must follow one of two pathways. The first is in-service support, for currently serving personnel and their families. The second is moving on from service life, for families who are leaving the armed forces or are within two years of leaving. Every project must meet at least one of three outcomes: better knowledge of, and confidence in accessing, support; less loneliness and better emotional wellbeing; or carers building the skills and confidence to move towards volunteering, training or work. Registered charities, Community Interest Companies, local authorities and NHS organisations can apply. If you have not worked with the armed forces community before, you can still apply. You will need to show that you understand the needs of the group and have a workable plan to reach people, or that you will deliver the project with a partner that has proven experience. The deadline is 12 noon on 4 November 2026. If you apply by then, you will get a decision before the end of February 2027. One practical point: the funder will pay for non-clinical therapeutic support, such as peer support or mindfulness. It must be backed by published evidence and form part of a wider package of support, not make up the whole project. Access to Elected Office Fund

Cabinet Office

Up to £500,000England

The Access to Elected Office Fund will help disabled people meet the extra, disability-related costs of standing for election. This listing is not for candidates. It is for an organisation that will set up and run the Fund on behalf of the Government until 31 March 2029. The administrator must launch the Fund by March 2027. It will cover UK General Elections, local government and regional and combined mayoral authority elections in England, and local and Northern Ireland Assembly elections in Northern Ireland. Costs covered include things like BSL interpretation or accessible transport. Standard campaign costs, such as registration fees or leafleting, are not covered. Most of the money is expected to go to third-party service providers rather than straight to candidates. The total funding for 2026-27 is up to £500,000. This covers both the administration costs and the pot of money for candidates. Individual candidate awards are expected to range from a few hundred pounds to several thousand. Unspent funding from 2026-27 and 2027-28 may roll over, and top-up funding may be available after an annual audit. Applications opened on 13 October 2026 at 2:00pm and close on 4 November 2026 at 2:00pm. Thornog Community Benefit Fund

Energia Renewables / Community Foundation Northern Ireland

Up to £10,000Northern Ireland

The Thornog Community Benefit Fund is a local fund set up by Energia Renewables. It shares the benefits of the Thornog Wind Farm with the people who live nearby. The wind farm sits between Drumquin, Co Tyrone and Kesh, Co Fermanagh. The fund backs local community projects that are planned and run for the benefit of the local population. Its priorities are energy efficiency and sustainability; social, cultural or sporting benefit for the local community; educational issues with a sustainability angle; and environmental or economic benefit. You can ask for up to £5,000. In exceptional circumstances, the panel may decide to award up to £10,000. Location matters. Your organisation must be based within 10 miles of the wind farm, measured in a straight line. 70% of the funds will go to eligible groups based within a 6 mile radius, so a larger share is reserved for groups closest to the site. This fund suits local groups with a project that serves people living near the wind farm. It is open now and closes at 1pm on 5 November 2026. Check your location against the radius before you start, because it is the main hard rule on the page. Official source: https://communityfoundationni.org/achieving-impact/available-grants/. Long Mountain Community Benefit Fund

Energia Renewables / Community Foundation Northern Ireland

Up to £3,000Northern Ireland

The Long Mountain Community Benefit Fund supports local community projects near the Long Mountain Wind Farm on Glenbuck Road, Dunloy. Energia Renewables set the fund up with local groups, so that the wind farm brings social and economic benefits to the people who live nearby. The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland administers it. You can apply for up to £3,000. The fund backs projects that are planned and run for the benefit of the local population. Its priorities are projects that develop cross community relations, energy efficiency and sustainability of local community facilities, social, cultural or sporting benefit for the local community, educational issues with a sustainability angle, and environmental or economic benefit. The fund closes at 1:00pm on 5 November 2026, so there is a little under three weeks left from today. One practical point to check first is location. Your organisation must be based within 5 miles of the windfarm site entrance, measured in a straight line. Being near the wind farm is not enough on its own; the organisation itself must sit inside that radius. If you are just outside it, this fund is not open to you. The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland lists many wind farm funds side by side on its open grants page. Each has its own area, size and closing date, so make sure you are looking at the Long Mountain entry. If you have already started an application, the foundation asks you to keep using the link emailed to you when you registered. Up to £3,000Northern Ireland

You can apply for up to £3,000. The fund is interested in projects that improve collaboration among local groups and organisations. It also looks for projects that bring clear benefit to people experiencing disadvantage or life limiting circumstances, make more use of existing community space and sustainable venues, bring different generations together, or increase local participation through sports, culture and the arts. This fund suits charities and community organisations based within a 6km radius of the wind farm. The distance is measured in a straight line, so where your organisation is located really matters. iX Challenge: Reducing blood-cell loss and measurement variability in field-deployable microfluidic diagnostic cartridges

Innovate UK Business Connect

Up to £60,000England

This Innovation Exchange (iX) challenge from Innovate UK is set by Beyond Blood Diagnostics, a NATO DIANA company developing portable, cartridge-based blood analysis that gives a full blood count from a finger-prick sample without a laboratory. The company wants ways to reduce the loss of blood cells, and the measurement variability this causes, as samples flow through the microchannels of its field-deployable diagnostic cartridges. Consistent run-to-run results matter because, for defence radiation biodosimetry, repeated counts are used to track how fast lymphocytes fall relative to neutrophils. Cells sticking selectively inside the channel can change both the count and that ratio, and could change a casualty's triage category. The successful applicant, chosen by the company, can apply for up to £60,000 of Innovate UK funding for a project of up to three months, starting in March 2027 and finishing by 31 May 2027. Applications opened on 5 October 2026 and close at 11am on 6 November 2026.
