Great British Energy (GBE) Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks

Great British Energy

Funding amount not listed

The Great British Energy Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks will award up to £300 million in capital grant funding. It aims to build UK manufacturing capacity for key constrained components in offshore wind and the electricity networks that support it. The money must be used to build new manufacturing facilities in the UK or extend existing ones. Demand for these components is outpacing supply, which causes bottlenecks, longer lead times, higher project costs and delays. The fund aims to ease these pressures and strengthen UK supply chain security. It suits companies registered under the Companies Act 2006 that plan a UK manufacturing project producing one or more of the fund's listed Critical Components. Eligible costs are capital spending directly linked to the project. This includes buildings, production equipment and machinery, associated infrastructure tied to the product, and research and development costs linked to the facility. Running costs, land purchase, service and maintenance agreements, warranty costs and interest are not covered. The application window opened on 11 December 2025. Earlier rounds closed on 31 March, 30 June and 30 September 2026. The final round closes on 10 December 2026 at 5:00pm, or earlier if the budget is fully allocated. Grant funding must be drawn down between April 2026 and March 2030. One key caveat: your project must show a genuine case for assistance, meaning the grant is necessary for it to go ahead. The list of Critical Components is live, so read the latest guidance document from Great British Energy before you apply. Places of Worship Renewal Fund

Historic England

£10,000 - £1m

The Places of Worship Renewal Fund, run by Historic England, pays for urgent repairs and essential improvements to listed places of worship in England. It funds capital works that keep buildings safe, open and in public use. Grants range from £10,000 to £1,000,000. The money is split into three streams: small grants of £10,000 to £50,000, medium grants of £50,001 to £350,000, and large grants of £350,001 to £1,000,000. Any listed place of worship in England can apply, whatever its faith or denomination, as long as it is an active place of worship. The building must be listed at Grade I, Grade II* or Grade II. Priority goes to projects in the most deprived areas of England and to those that bring the most community benefit. The fund aims to repair and safeguard historic places of worship, help them stay active as community spaces, and strengthen the long-term resilience of the building so future repair costs fall. You start with a short expression of interest (EOI). If it is successful, you will be invited to make a full application. The first round EOI deadline of 14 June 2026 has passed. Further rounds follow from September 2026 and in future years, and the fund closes on 31 March 2030 at 11:59pm. The fund is competitive, and not all applications will succeed. If your project is not yet well developed, you may wish to wait and apply in a later round. Official source: https://www.find-government-grants.service.gov.uk/grants/places-of-worship-renewal-fund-1.
