DF Capital Foundation Fund
Forever Manchester / DF Capital Foundation
The DF Capital Foundation fund offers awards of £2,500 to grassroots community groups in Greater Manchester. It is run by Forever Manchester, which funds and supports community activity across the region. It suits small, local groups. You need to be based in any of the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester, and your group's annual income must be less than £75,000. Each award is £2,500. The fund is open for applications now. It closes at 12 noon on 22 October 2026, so you will need to move quickly if you want to apply. Many other Forever Manchester funds are not open at the moment, which makes this one of the few currently taking applications. Forever Manchester manages a number of funds. It asks you to call before you apply, so the team can help you choose the best fund for your group. You can reach the Awards Team on 0161 214 0940 or at awards@forevermanchester.com. They can help with deadline dates, eligibility and criteria, or if you run into any problems. Forever Manchester also publishes FAQs that explain how its funding programmes work and who can apply. Its Supporting Information page covers the documents you need when you submit an application. It is worth reading both before you start. Official source: https://forevermanchester.com/funding/. Souter Charitable Trust
Souter Charitable Trust
The Souter Charitable Trust supports projects that relieve human suffering, in the UK and overseas. It especially, but not exclusively, backs work with a Christian emphasis and ethos. Grants are for UK registered charities only. The Trustees cannot fund overseas organisations directly, because they are unable to carry out the necessary due diligence. If your charity works abroad, you can still apply as long as you are a UK registered charity. There is no set minimum or maximum grant. A typical grant is a one-off award of between £1,000 and £3,000. Small grants may also be made for gap year or short-term projects, as long as they run for at least one calendar year. The Trust does not fund capital building or renovation works. It also does not fund the personal health or educational needs of individuals. You apply online. To be considered at the next Trustees' meeting on 29 October 2026, your application must be in by close of business on 22 October 2026. The Trustees meet once a month, so later applications will be reviewed at a future meeting. All applications are acknowledged in due course, whether successful or not. You can apply again, but only after one full calendar year has passed since your last application. Please note that all grants are made entirely at the Trustees' discretion, and their decision is final. Official source: https://www.soutercharitabletrust.org.uk/how-to-apply. Brockaghboy Community Benefit Fund
Greencoat Capital / Community Foundation Northern Ireland
The Brockaghboy Community Benefit Fund gives local groups money for community projects near Brockaghboy Wind Farm in Swatragh, County L/Derry. The fund was set up in 2016 by TCI Renewables and was later taken over by Greencoat Capital. Its aim is to support locally beneficial, community-based projects and initiatives. You can apply for up to £3,000. The fund is interested in projects that improve collaboration among local groups and organisations. It also looks for projects that bring clear benefit to people experiencing disadvantage or life limiting circumstances, make more use of existing community space and sustainable venues, bring different generations together, or increase local participation through sports, culture and the arts. This fund suits charities and community organisations based within a 6km radius of the wind farm. The distance is measured in a straight line, so where your organisation is located really matters. The page invites applications only from organisations inside that area. The closing date is 5 November 2026 at 1pm. Purchase Mid-Range Equipment for Biomedical Research: MRC Equip
Medical Research Council (MRC)
MRC Equip pays for a single piece of mid-range capital equipment to support biomedical research within the Medical Research Council's remit. It can be new capability or a replacement for existing kit. Second-hand or beta-testing equipment is allowed if you show how you will manage the higher risk of failure. You can ask MRC for between £200,000 and £1 million, and MRC will fund up to 100% of the full economic cost. The equipment must cost more than £200,000 including VAT. The total cost can be higher than £1 million if other contributions cover the rest. Up to £14 million is available across the whole opportunity. Installation and service maintenance contracts of up to five years can be included, as long as they are part of the manufacturer's quote and paid by 31 December 2027. This suits researchers and research technical professionals employed at UK research organisations eligible for MRC funding. Applications led by research technical professionals are particularly encouraged. Projects last seven months and must start by 1 June 2027. The opportunity is open now. The closing date is 5 November 2026 at 4:00pm UK time. One practical point to plan for: each research organisation can submit only two applications, so speak to your research office as early as you can. Your research office also checks and submits the application for you. Uninvited resubmissions of applications sent to UKRI after 1 August 2026 will be rejected. The Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF)
Department for Science, Innovation and Technology
The Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF) is a capital grants fund run by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. It helps build UK resilience for future health emergencies. It backs the manufacture of human medicines and medical technology, including diagnostics and MedTech products. It suits UK registered, wholly private sector companies, such as product developers, contract development manufacturing organisations and generics manufacturers. Previous manufacturing grant recipients can apply too, as long as the project is a different one. Your project must be in the UK, be mainly a capital investment, and need the grant to go ahead as planned. You start with an expression of interest. You can submit one at any time. To be considered in round 9, it must arrive by 12pm on 13 November 2026. Later submissions move to the next quarterly round. Eligible projects are then invited to a formal application, which includes a panel interview and due diligence checks. One thing to know: the fund is reviewed every year, so the criteria and application windows may change. The fund's overall closing date is 31 March 2030. Great British Energy (GBE) Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks
Great British Energy
The Great British Energy Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks will award up to £300 million in capital grant funding. It aims to build UK manufacturing capacity for key constrained components in offshore wind and the electricity networks that support it. The money must be used to build new manufacturing facilities in the UK or extend existing ones. Demand for these components is outpacing supply, which causes bottlenecks, longer lead times, higher project costs and delays. The fund aims to ease these pressures and strengthen UK supply chain security. It suits companies registered under the Companies Act 2006 that plan a UK manufacturing project producing one or more of the fund's listed Critical Components. Eligible costs are capital spending directly linked to the project. This includes buildings, production equipment and machinery, associated infrastructure tied to the product, and research and development costs linked to the facility. Running costs, land purchase, service and maintenance agreements, warranty costs and interest are not covered. The application window opened on 11 December 2025. Earlier rounds closed on 31 March, 30 June and 30 September 2026. The final round closes on 10 December 2026 at 5:00pm, or earlier if the budget is fully allocated. Grant funding must be drawn down between April 2026 and March 2030. One key caveat: your project must show a genuine case for assistance, meaning the grant is necessary for it to go ahead. The list of Critical Components is live, so read the latest guidance document from Great British Energy before you apply.
